Robert G. Snyder, Ph.D. Robert G. Snyder, PhD works with a diverse population of children, adolescents and adults.. His career experience spans four decades of work with difficult populations. Dr. Bob has been a Teacher/Coach, School Counselor, and a Director of an Alternative School for delinquent teens. His reputation with adolescents and has given him national recognition. He has been in private practice in Lewisville, Texas, since 1979. Dr. Bob has done over 50,000 sessions in 32 years.
Dr. Snyder has degrees in Education, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy. He has studied under William Glasser, MD at the Institute for Reality Therapy. He has also studied Family Systems Therapy with several known experts, including Murray Bowen, MD, Carl Whitaker, MD, Jay Haley, MA, and James Framo, PhD.
Dr. Snyder has post graduate training in Childhood and Adolescent Developmental Disorders. These include ADHD, Autism spectrum, Asperger’s Syndrome, Tourette’s Disorders, OCD, and Childhood Depressive Disorders. His training in this specialty comes from The Yale Child Study Center at Yale Medical School and The Help Group at University Of California at Los Angeles Medical School.
Dr. Bob conducts professional training seminars. He has twice been named outstanding presenter at the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Convention, for his presentations on using family therapy to treat adolescent disorders.
Dr Snyder is an Approved Supervisor with two Texas State Licensing Boards. He also enjoys mentoring young mental health professionals. He has extensive experience with teens and young adults, but he enjoys working with people across the life span, doing individual, marriage, and family therapy.

Martin Gieda, Ph.D. Martin Gieda, Ph.D., has over 20 years experience providing career and personal counseling to adults (18 years and older). He uses a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach in treating mood and anxiety disorders. CBT is generally short-term and solution focused to reduce disturbing symptoms, build problem solving skills, and learn new ways of coping to overcome difficulties. CBT is based upon years of scientific research that demonstrates effectiveness for many individuals.
In 2005, Dr. Gieda completed a six month extramural training program at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research. He is a registered member of the Academy for Cognitive Therapy and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He is a licensed psychologist, licensed chemical dependency counselor in Texas and a national certified counselor.

Pamela Flint, Ph.D.
Pamela Flint, Ph.D. has over 10 years experience providing personal and career counseling at the University of North Texas and in her private practice. In addition, Dr. Flint has a quarter time appointment in the psychology department at UNT. Dr. Flint is a graduate of UNT's Counseling Psychology Program. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to that, she worked as a registered nurse in the DFW area. She worked in a local hospital as a weekend charge nurse on a psychiatric unit while she pursued her graduate degree in psychology. Dr. Flint did a one year psychology internship at the Dallas VA Medical Center.
Dr. Flint treats mood disorders, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, substance abuse and career counseling. Here practice is limited to the treatment of adults. She also provides a smoking cessation program, QuitSmart to individuals, groups and companies. Dr. Flint is a certified trainer for the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and the QPR Suicide Prevention Program. In addition, Dr. Flint offers Animal Assisted Therapy. Her co-therapist, Dakota, is a one year-old Labrador retriever that has been certified by the Delta Society.
Dr. Flint primarily uses cognitive-behavior therapy and interpersonal process therapy; both have been approved by psychological and psychiatric experts as evidence based treatments for mood disorders and other psychiatric issues.
[ Top ] Jennifer Barnett, MA, LPC-Intern
Jennifer Barnett has a master’s in Community Counseling from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tulsa. Jennifer is presently working on her PhD at Texas A&M – Commerce. She is licensed intern through the Texas Board of Examiner of Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Association for Applied Sports Psychology. Jennifer has done research in the areas of mental imagery, Sports Performance, and Career Counseling with Women. Her counseling experience includes individual, couples, and family counseling. She has worked with at-risk high school students, college students and does play therapy with children. Beside her outpatient work with the North Texas Psychotherapy Associates, she currently works with children who have behavioral and emotional problems at a local in-patient facility.

Bob Pine, MS, Licensed Professional Counselor Intern
Bob Pine has an MS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. In his graduate studies and since then, he has done extensive research on child-onset bipolar, adopting evidence-based counseling practices. He has training and experience in testing, evaluation, and individual and group counseling of children and adolescents at Terrell State Hospital.
Mr. Bob’s outpatient counseling focus has included all the common children and adolescent issues, depression, bipolar, ADHD, oppositional-defiant, conduct, obsessive-compulsive, anxiety, PDD and Asperger’s. He treats those 7–17 years of age, along with supportive guidance for their parents and siblings, especially on: explosive anger; excessive irritability; rapid mood swings; prolonged explosive temper tantrums; depression and anxiety; suicidal thinking; oppositional behavior; regulating sleep; interpersonal social skills; processing grief; and organizational skills for school.
Besides North Texas Psychotherapy Associates, Mr. Bob works as a counselor at a local therapeutical K-12 school for youth with special learning needs. Bob is a retired mailman and national accounts manager from the U.S. Postal Service. He has 11 years of experience as a former middle school and high school teacher. Mr. Bob uses cognitive-behavioral, reality and family systems therapies.

Daniel Folmer, BA Daniel Folmer graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Rehabilitation Studies with a minor in Addictions and is currently pursuing his graduate degree in Community Counseling.
In addition to working at North Texas Psychotherapy Associates, Daniel also provides play therapy at his university and a local Montessori school. His primary modality of treatment for children is person-centered play therapy. At the University of North Texas, he completed a course taught by Garry Landreth, one of the foremost experts on play therapy.
Daniel is a regular guest lecturer on gaming addiction at the University of North Texas. In January 2009, he was invited by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to be interviewed for a national investigative journalism program, The Fifth Estate, regarding gaming addiction.
He also specializes in computer-assisted learning technology and works to ensure our clients maximize their potential through technology as well as traditional therapeutic methods. Daniel has had experience with children in inpatient/outpatient facilities, residential treatment centers, equine-assisted therapy, and summer camp settings.
